Branding and logo

Customize your viewer's appearance with branded backgrounds and logos, and control the EveryPage badge.

Background, logo, and badge settings apply in all four viewer modes: they are painted in a frame around whichever viewer the document uses. The background lives under Style in the Configure & Share editor; the logo and badge live under Branding. All of it requires Basic or above — on the free tier the settings cannot be saved and the viewer is served stock.

Background

Your viewer's background is one of three types: a solid colour, a named gradient preset, or an uploaded image. Only the payload for the selected type is stored, so switching type discards the settings of the one you left.

Solid colour: Pick any hex colour (#RRGGBB format) and the viewer fills its background uniformly.

Gradient presets: Choose from six gradients named dusk, sand, slate, forest, blush, and mono.

Image background: Upload a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file (up to 5 MB). The file type is determined by inspecting the file's contents, not its name or declared type. Once uploaded, you control three properties:

  • Fit: Cover (crops to fill the viewer, the default) or Contain (letterboxes to fit within it)
  • Blur: Soften the image with 0–20 pixels of blur (default 0)
  • Darken: Darken the image with a 0–80% overlay, keeping pages readable (default 0)

Each document stores only one background image: uploading a new one replaces the previous asset and deletes it.

Upload your logo as a PNG, JPEG, or WebP image (up to 5 MB). Once uploaded, three settings control its appearance:

Position: Anchor the logo to a corner — top-left, top-right, bottom-left, or bottom-right. The default is bottom-right. Top corners sit below the viewer toolbar in the modes that have one, and at the top edge in swipe mode, which has none.

Size: S, M (default), L, or XL.

Logo link: Optionally add a click-through URL. Readers who click your logo open the link in a new tab. The URL must begin with http:// or https://.

Position, size, and link are only stored while a logo image is set; removing the image clears them.

Like your background, each document stores only one logo. Uploading a new one replaces and deletes the previous asset.

Hiding the badge

By default, viewers display a "Made with EveryPage" badge in the bottom-left corner. Basic and Pro accounts can hide it with the Hide EveryPage Badge toggle under Branding. Free-tier documents always show the badge, and so do unclaimed anonymous uploads, which are treated as free tier.

Advanced branding (Pro)

Pro accounts can additionally customize the viewer's accent colour, toolbar theme, and badge position.

  • Accent colour: A custom hex colour for the viewer's accented controls — the scrubber thumb, focus rings, the swipe progress bar, and the call-to-action button when no separate button colour is set.
  • Toolbar theme: Set the viewer's toolbar strip to auto (the default, following light/dark), light, or dark.
  • Badge position: Move the badge to any of the four corners instead of the default bottom-left.

Limits and storage

Each document can store up to 10 auxiliary assets — logos, backgrounds, and hotspot media combined. Logos and backgrounds are exempt from the cap because they replace in place: a document already holding 10 assets can still swap its logo or background.

Every asset is encrypted at rest under its own key, so the viewer can display it without the owner's encryption key. Asset requests pass the same gates as the document itself: a password-protected or email-gated document does not leak its logo or background to someone who has not passed the gate.
