Share as a link: proposal
Send your proposal as a link, not an attachment
The client gets one link that opens in the browser. You get an alert when it is opened, the time spent on the pricing page, and a way to correct the proposal without a "v2 attached" email.

Pricing-page read time
Per-page analytics (from Basic) show how long the client spent on the pricing page and whether they came back to it - the signal a follow-up call should open with.
Opened alerts
A view notification (from Basic) emails you the moment the proposal is opened, and a read receipt lets the client confirm delivery on the record.
Fix it without a v2 (Pro)
Replace the file behind the link and the client’s copy is the corrected one - no second attachment, no "please ignore the previous version".
Expire on the deadline
Set the link to expire on the proposal’s validity date, or cap it at a number of views (from Basic), and the offer closes when you said it would.
Know when the pricing page gets read
A proposal is really three documents: the scope the client reads once, the pricing page they read several times, and the sign-off page they reach only if the first two worked. An attachment tells you none of this. A proposal sent as an EveryPage link records every session page by page - the first open, the time on each section, the return visits - and per-page analytics (from Basic) put a number on how long pricing held them.
That number changes the follow-up. Four minutes on pricing and no visit to the sign-off page is a negotiation waiting to happen; a thirty-second skim of the whole thing is a client who has not decided to read it yet. Both deserve a different call, and now you know which one to make. Reader IPs are never stored, so the client is measured, not surveilled.
What a proposal link does that an attachment can’t
- Read receipts (from Basic). The client confirms receipt inside the viewer and the confirmation sits next to their reading session - useful when a deadline turns on "we never got it".
- Page analytics without IPs. Every page view is measured first-party in the viewer and no reader IP is ever stored, so tracking a client’s proposal stays on the right side of your own privacy policy.
- A password for one-client proposals (from Basic). A proposal with a bespoke rate should not travel; a password on the link keeps it with the people you quoted.
- Upload the Word file as it is. .docx proposals up to 25MB convert to PDF on upload, so the document you wrote in Word becomes a link without an export step.
Revise the proposal without a "v2" attachment
Proposals change after they are sent: a typo in the totals, a scope line the client asked to add, a discount agreed on the call. With an attachment every change is another email, and the client’s inbox ends up holding three versions with no way to tell which one is current. With a dynamic link (Pro) you replace the PDF behind the link, and the one link the client already has opens the revised proposal.
The readership history carries on across the revision, so you can see whether the client re-read the pricing page after the change. Downloads can be turned off per document if you would rather the proposal is always read from the link, and the link never expires unless you set the deadline yourself.
Proposal sharing questions.
Is it free to send a proposal as a link?
Yes. The free plan covers up to 3 PDFs of 20MB each with core readership - views, readers and time spent - and no card is required. Per-page analytics, opened alerts, read receipts and passwords start on Basic ($9/month); replacing the proposal behind the link is Pro ($29/month).
Can I upload a proposal written in Word?
Yes. Upload the .docx (up to 25MB) and EveryPage converts it to PDF for the link, keeping your layout. If your proposal tool exports PDF directly, that works too.
Will the client know the proposal is tracked?
The client opens a normal link in the browser - no account, no download. Sessions record pages and time, never an IP address, and the client is only identified by name if you put an email gate on the link (Pro). If you turn on read receipts they are asked to confirm receipt, which is visible by design.
Can I update the proposal after sending it?
On Pro, yes: replace the file behind the link and the client’s existing link opens the revised version, with the URL and readership history unchanged. On Free and Basic, upload the revision as a new link.
Can the proposal expire after the deadline?
Yes, on every plan: set an expiry date on the link and it returns "Gone" once the validity period ends. From Basic you can also cap it at a set number of views. Your record of who read it, and when, stays in your dashboard either way.
Send the next proposal as a link.
Upload the proposal, send one link, and know when the pricing page was read before you pick up the phone.
