ChatGPT connector

Share a PDF from a chat with ChatGPT. Then ask who read it

Add EveryPage to ChatGPT as a custom MCP server, and ChatGPT can turn a link to a PDF into a tracked share link, make a separate copy for each recipient, and tell you who opened it, how far they read and where they stopped.

What you can do from ChatGPT.

Pick EveryPage in a chat and ask in plain words. ChatGPT chooses the EveryPage tools and runs them, and every link it makes is tracked exactly like one you made yourself.

“Share https://example.com/quote.pdf as a tracked link and block downloads.”

EveryPage fetches the PDF from the link, adds it to your library and hands back the share link, QR code and embed code, with downloads already off.

“Make a copy of the renewal quote for each of the three buyers at Globex.”

One tracked link per person, labelled with their name, so you can later ask who read it and get an answer person by person. Per-recipient links are a Pro feature.

“Which of my documents were read this week, and by how many people?”

A short rundown across your library: which documents were opened, by how many readers, and which ones nobody has touched yet.

“Add a passcode to the onboarding guide and turn on the email gate.”

Change how a document is shared after you sent it: passcode, downloads, viewer mode, email gate, view limit or page range. The link stays the same.

Connect it in a minute.

You need an EveryPage account (the free plan is enough) and ChatGPT on the web, on a plan that lets you add custom MCP servers. There is nothing to install and no key to copy.

Server URL

https://everypage.co/mcp
  1. 1

    Open Plugins in ChatGPT

On chatgpt.com, open Plugins. If you do not see the option to add your own server, turn on developer mode in ChatGPT’s settings first.

    Open ChatGPT plugins ↗
  2. 2

    Add a custom MCP server

Click +, choose Add custom MCP server, name it EveryPage and paste the server URL above. Choose OAuth for authentication; ChatGPT finds the sign-in details itself.

  3. 3

    Create it and allow access

Confirm the warning and click Create as a plugin. Sign in to EveryPage, or create a free account, check what ChatGPT is asking for, and allow it.

  4. 4

    Pick it in a chat

Start a new chat, type @ and choose EveryPage. Then ask.

OpenAI decides which ChatGPT plans can add custom MCP servers, and what they may do with them; it has changed this more than once. In a Business or Enterprise workspace, an admin may have to allow custom MCP servers before anyone can add one.

What ChatGPT can see and do.

When you connect, EveryPage lists exactly what ChatGPT is asking for, and you allow it as a whole. ChatGPT then acts as you, within these permissions:

PermissionWhat it lets ChatGPT do
files:readSee your documents, their share links and their settings
files:writeAdd documents from a link, change their settings, and move them to the trash
readership:readSee who read your documents, how far, and when
profileSee your account email and plan
webhooks:manageCreate, test and delete webhooks

What ChatGPT can do also follows your EveryPage plan: sharing and readership work on Free, passcodes and page-by-page statistics need Basic, and per-recipient links and the email gate need Pro. When something needs a higher plan, ChatGPT is told which one.

Disconnect at any time

In EveryPage, open your account settings and click Disconnect on the ChatGPT card, or Revoke under Connected apps. ChatGPT loses access at once. Then remove EveryPage from your plugins in ChatGPT, so it stops offering it in chats.

Questions.

Which ChatGPT plans can use it?

Adding your own MCP server is a ChatGPT developer feature on the web, and OpenAI sets which paid plans get it. If you cannot find the option, check ChatGPT’s help pages for your plan. On the EveryPage side, the free plan is enough.

What can EveryPage see of my conversations with ChatGPT?

Only the requests ChatGPT makes to EveryPage for you, such as listing your documents or sharing a link. The rest of the conversation never reaches EveryPage. EveryPage counts calls per tool to run the service, not what was asked or what came back.

What can ChatGPT see in my EveryPage account?

What the permissions you allowed cover: your document names, share links and settings, and the readership you see on your dashboard. On Pro that includes the email addresses your gates captured. ChatGPT works with links and readership, not the text inside your PDFs, and never sees your password or API keys. EveryPage does not store readers' IP addresses, so there are none to show.

Can I attach a PDF to the chat and share it?

Not directly: a connected server receives links, not chat attachments. Give ChatGPT an https link to the PDF, or upload it at everypage.co and ask ChatGPT to share it by name.

How do I disconnect?

Click Disconnect on the ChatGPT card in your EveryPage account settings, or Revoke under Connected apps. Access ends at once. Then remove EveryPage from your plugins in ChatGPT.

Is EveryPage in ChatGPT's app directory?

Not yet. Add it as a custom MCP server with the server URL above; it works the same way.

Does the same URL work in Claude?

Yes. https://everypage.co/mcp is one server for every AI assistant that supports remote MCP servers. Claude adds it as a custom connector, and you can connect both at once.

Ask ChatGPT who read it.

Create a free EveryPage account, add the server to ChatGPT, and the next document you share from a chat can tell you who opened it.
