Portfolio overview
View aggregated readership across your entire library and scope reports by folder.
The portfolio overview is the cross-file readership rolled into your library: three totals above the document list, per-file counts on each row, and — on Pro — a recent-activity table below. It can be scoped to a single folder.
Aggregate readership across all files
Three totals are reported across every document you own:
- Total Reads — Reading sessions across the library
- Unique Readers — Distinct pseudonymous reader identities that opened any of your documents
- Downloads — Download count across the library
These aggregates are available on every plan, including free. Sessions are recorded identically on every tier, so upgrading exposes the history that was already being collected rather than starting a new count.
Per-file counts
Each row of the document list carries that file's own counts:
- Reads — Reading sessions on that file
- Readers — Distinct reader identities for that file
- Downloads — Download count for that file
These let you compare documents without opening each report. They come from the same tables as the file's own readership page, so a file's Reads here matches its session count there. Note that Reads counts sessions, not view_count — see what EveryPage measures for why those two numbers differ.
Recent reader activity (Pro only)
On Pro, a Recent activity table appears below the document list, listing recent reading sessions across the whole library, newest first. Each row shows:
- Document — The file the session belongs to, linking to its readership page
- Reader — The pseudonymous reader label (
Reader #<id>), or-when no reader identity was resolved - Source — How the reader arrived:
link,qr,email, orembed - Location — Country resolved by geolocation, or "Unknown"
- Time Spent — Session duration
- Date — When the session started
This is the only part of the overview that is tier-gated. Free and Basic accounts receive the aggregates and the per-file counts; on those plans the response carries no session rows at all, so the table does not render. Pro adds the per-session reader identities.
Scope the overview to a folder
Selecting a folder re-scopes the overview to that folder: the three aggregates, the per-file counts, and the recent-activity table are all recomputed over the files it contains. The folder is resolved and ownership-checked on the server, so a folder belonging to another account returns HTTP 404 rather than any data.
Folder scoping therefore requires folders, which are Basic and above — a free account has no folders to scope by. It carries no tier requirement of its own: the same Pro gate on recent activity applies whether you are looking at the full library or one folder.
