Deleting your account
Understand what happens when you permanently delete your EveryPage account and how to prepare.
Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. Your entire EveryPage account, all documents you have uploaded, and all readership data are deleted immediately and cannot be recovered. Before you proceed, make sure you have exported any data you want to keep.
How to delete your account
Open account settings, scroll to the Danger Zone, and click Delete Account. A confirmation dialog appears; confirming starts the deletion straight away. There is no grace period, no cooling-off window, and no undo.
What gets deleted
When you delete your account, the following are permanently removed:
- Your user account and all its settings
- Every document you uploaded, including files sitting in the trash
- The encrypted files stored on disk, and the encryption keys that decrypt them
- All readership data attached to those documents: view sessions, page-level stats, download records, captured gate responses, comments, receipts, and link variants
- Any custom domain configuration, including its certificate at our edge provider
- API keys, webhooks, folders, contact lists, your Notion connection, and every third-party app you have authorized
You cannot restore any of these after deletion. This differs from document deletion, which is recoverable on Basic and Pro plans — account deletion is final.
Share links stop working immediately
Every share link you have sent to readers stops working the moment your account is deleted. That includes short-ID links, vanity slugs on a custom domain, per-recipient link variants, embedded viewers on other sites, and QR codes you have already printed. Readers holding any of these lose access instantly, and anyone who has saved or bookmarked your documents will be unable to view them. There is no way to reissue a deleted link.
Before you delete
Cancel your subscription
Account deletion does attempt to cancel an active Stripe subscription automatically, as its first step. That attempt is best-effort: if Stripe cannot be reached, the failure is logged and the deletion continues anyway, which leaves a live subscription attached to an account that no longer exists — and no account left to cancel it from.
Because of that, cancel first if you hold a paid plan. Cancel it in the Stripe billing portal from account settings, confirm the subscription is gone, and only then delete the account. See billing and plans for how to reach the portal.
Export your data
If you want a record of your readership before deleting, export a CSV of your sessions (CSV export is a Pro feature). This is your only opportunity to preserve that data. Download any documents you still need, too — the stored copies go with the account.
Reclaim or burn links
Consider burning documents you no longer want shared, or retrieving important files and reconfiguring their sharing before deletion. Once your account is gone, there is no way to disable individual share links or retrieve content.
What is NOT covered
Anything you have already downloaded or saved locally is outside EveryPage's control and will not be affected. Similarly, if you have used captured lead data from your documents outside EveryPage (forwarded to email, exported to a third-party tool, or used elsewhere), deleting your account does not erase that external copy.
Data security
EveryPage encrypts your files at rest with per-account keys. Deleting your account deletes the stored file data and, with it, the encryption keys those files were written under, so the content is unrecoverable regardless of anything else. See encryption and privacy for how the encryption works.
