Zapier integration

Know when your PDF gets read - in any of 7,000+ apps

The EveryPage Zapier app works in both directions: triggers that fire the moment a document is read, a lead is captured, or a copy is downloaded - and actions that turn any PDF into a tracked share link, QR code, and embed.

How the integration works.

The app connects with a personal API key - no OAuth dance, no admin approval - and then works in both directions: EveryPage pushes reader activity into your Zaps, and your Zaps create and manage tracked documents in EveryPage.

  1. 1

    Connect in two minutes

Add EveryPage as a step in any Zap, then paste an API key from your account page (Account -> API keys -> create one named "Zapier"). The key works on every plan, and the connection is labelled with your account email so multiple accounts stay distinguishable.

  2. 2

Start from a trigger or an action

Triggers start Zaps from what readers do: opens, downloads, form fills, comments, receipt confirmations, link expiry. Actions go the other way - upload a PDF from Drive or Gmail and get a tracked link back, expire a proposal when the deal closes, mint a per-recipient link for every row in a sheet.

  3. 3

Turn it on - the plumbing manages itself

Switching on a Zap with an instant trigger registers a webhook subscription on your account automatically; switching it off removes it. You can see every live subscription under Account settings. Nothing to configure on a server, nothing to clean up.

Under the hood

Instant, signed delivery

Instant triggers arrive within seconds of the event - EveryPage pushes them over HMAC-signed webhooks, and the app verifies every signature before your Zap runs, so a forged payload never reaches your workflow. Accounts hold up to 25 webhook subscriptions, and each Zap uses one.

Three share channels from every upload

Every document that the integration creates comes back with a share link, a QR code image URL, and an embed code. All three are keyed to the document itself - replace the file behind the link and the printed QR poster, the embedded viewer, and the emailed URL all keep working.

Plan-aware, not cryptic

Fields that need a higher plan say so in their help text, and if a Zap sends a setting your plan does not include, the error names the feature and the plan that unlocks it - never a bare status code. Captured leads are never discarded: if a subscription lapses, capture continues and delivery resumes when the plan is restored.

Private by design

Your API key is only ever sent to everypage.co - the app refuses to attach it to any other host, including the URLs your Zaps fetch files from. Reader identity stays pseudonymous (EveryPage never stores visitor IP addresses), and your own visits to your own documents never fire your triggers, so there is no self-notification noise.

Triggers: when this happens in EveryPage.

Start a Zap from what your readers do. Triggers deliver instantly - EveryPage pushes the event to Zapier the moment it happens, no polling delay.

New Document Read

Instant

A reader opened your document - with country, pages viewed, and reading time. Choose scheduled polling or instant delivery.

New Form Fill / Email Gate Capture

Instant · Pro

A reader completed your email gate or lead-capture form. Every captured field arrives ready to map into your CRM - while the lead is still reading.

New Download

Instant

A reader saved a copy. Log it, score it, or follow up on it.

Link Expired / Self-Destructed

Instant

A link reached the expiry date or view budget you gave it. Run the wrap-up: archive the record, pull the final analytics summary.

New Reader Comment

Instant

A reader left feedback on the document. Route it to Slack or your ticket queue while they are still on the page.

Receipt Confirmed

Instant

A reader confirmed receipt of the document - proof of delivery, pushed wherever your audit trail lives.

Actions: make EveryPage do this.

Create and manage tracked documents from any of the 7,000+ apps on Zapier.

Upload PDF & Get Tracking Link

Send a PDF in, get the share URL, QR code, and embed code back - plus the file ID for any later step.

Update File Settings

Change the passcode, expiry, download permission, or gating on an existing document - the link never changes.

Find File

Look a document up by name and feed it into the rest of the Zap.

Create Link Variant

Pro

Mint a per-recipient tracked link off one document - one link per contact, attribution built in.

Replace File Content

Pro

Swap a new version in behind the same link - every QR code and embed serves the update instantly.

Get Analytics Summary

Pull a document readership summary - views, readers, completion - into your Zap.

Delete File

Permanently remove a document when your workflow decides it is done.

Zaps our users start with.

Six patterns that cover most of what people wire up first.

New Form Fill → HubSpot

Gate capture → CRM contact

A lead completes the email gate on your whitepaper and lands in HubSpot with every field they entered - seconds after they start reading.

New Document Read → Slack

New read → Slack DM

The moment a prospect opens the proposal, the deal owner gets a Slack message naming the document and how far they read.

Google Drive → Upload PDF → Gmail

Drive file → tracked link → Gmail

A new PDF lands in a Google Drive folder, becomes a tracked EveryPage link, and goes out by Gmail - hands-free.

Google Sheets → Create Link Variant

Sheets row → personal link per recipient

For every row in a spreadsheet, mint a link variant labelled with that recipient - one document, per-person readership.

CRM stage → Update File Settings

CRM Closed-Lost → expire the link

Expiry is your rule, not a default: when a deal closes lost, have the CRM set the proposal link to expire automatically.

New Download → Google Sheets

New download → spreadsheet row

Every download appends a row to a sheet - a running log of which documents leave the building, and when.

What each plan unlocks.

The Zapier app is free to connect on every EveryPage plan. Pro-gated fields and triggers show a friendly upgrade note in the Zap editor instead of failing.

Zapier questions.

What can I automate with the EveryPage Zapier integration?

Both directions of a document workflow. Triggers start Zaps from reader activity - a document read, a lead captured through the email gate, a download, a comment, a confirmed receipt, or a link reaching the expiry rule you set. Actions let 7,000+ apps create tracked links, update settings, mint per-recipient link variants, replace the content behind a live link, pull analytics summaries, and delete files.

Is EveryPage a DocSend Zapier alternative?

Yes. If Zapier automation is part of why you use DocSend, EveryPage covers the same job: triggers when documents are read or leads are captured, plus actions to create and manage tracked PDF links - with flat $9/month pricing instead of per-user billing, and no reader IP addresses stored.

Are the triggers instant or polled?

Both are available. New Document Read can run as a scheduled polling trigger or as an instant trigger; form fills, downloads, comments, receipts, and link-expiry events are delivered instantly - EveryPage pushes them to Zapier the moment they happen.

How does EveryPage authenticate with Zapier?

You connect with an EveryPage API key, created under Account and starting with ep_live_. The integration attaches the key only to HTTPS requests bound for everypage.co - when a Zap step fetches a PDF from somewhere else, that download carries no credentials - and you can revoke a key at any time.

Which Zapier and EveryPage plans do I need?

The EveryPage side works on every plan, free included. The Form Fill trigger and the Create Link Variant and Replace File Content actions are Pro, because the product features they drive are Pro. On the Zapier side, single-step Zaps work on the Zapier free tier; multi-step Zaps need a paid Zapier plan.

Do tracked links have to expire?

No - expiry is a control you set per document, never a default. Give a link an expiry date, a view budget, or neither; on Pro, links can be set to never expire. The Link Expired / Self-Destructed trigger exists so a rule you chose can kick off the follow-up, like archiving the record or pulling a final analytics summary.

Put your documents on autopilot.

Connect EveryPage to Zapier with an API key, pick a trigger, and the next time someone reads your PDF the rest of your stack will know.
